The Women Leaders Association, the largest publisher and events organization for women professionals with 43,000 members and more than 130 regional chapters, today announced Erin Haertling as the first official Coaching Partner of its Las Vegas chapter, LasVegasWomenLeaders.org.
The appointment launches the association's new Coaching Partners program in the Las Vegas metro area, giving members direct access to coaches who have been carefully screened for credentials, track record and client results.
The Coaching Partners program was created to address a challenge the association's members raise frequently: finding a highly qualified coach can be difficult, even for accomplished professionals who know what they need. Coaching titles are unregulated, quality varies significantly, and leaders evaluating coaches on their own may have limited ability to verify credentials, experience and results. Under the new program, the Women Leaders Association conducts much of that screening on members' behalf. Every Coaching Partner is vetted for recognized certifications, verifiable experience and strong client reviews before being presented to members, allowing professionals to begin a consultation with greater confidence.
Erin, based in the Las Vegas, Nevada area, works at the layer most advisors miss. Founder of The Permission Problem, she serves as a confidential strategic thinking partner for decisions a leader can't fully delegate, disclose or delay — working with C-suite executives in cybersecurity, AI and technology, as well as founders, during periods of exposure, transition and consequential decision-making.
Her work focuses on what she calls the human risk layer of leadership: judgment erosion, identity drift, second-guessing, miscalibrated risk tolerance and the decision patterns that proximity makes invisible. Once those patterns are named, they can be examined and changed.
Her background brings together eight years as a U.S. Air Force officer, including service as Deputy Flight Commander in Air Force Space Command's 14th Test Squadron; a master's degree in counselling psychology and clinical practice; board governance and leadership experience; and a bachelor's degree in computer science from Smith College.
Erin is an International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach (ACC), completed the Leadership and Performance Coaching Certification through Brown University School of Professional Studies, and is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and Certified DISC Practitioner. The combination gives her unusual fluency across the technical, organizational and human dimensions of leadership.
Confidentiality is central to her work. Senior leaders often need a place to examine decisions, competing obligations, risk and uncertainty before those conversations can be taken to a board, executive team, investor or organization. Erin provides a private, nonperformative space where leaders can think candidly, challenge their own assumptions and surface what may be difficult to say elsewhere.
Her aim is to help leaders move from performing authority to executing from it.
"Every senior leader eventually reaches decisions she can't fully delegate, disclose or delay — and those are often the conversations leaders carry alone," said Erin. "My work sits where authority and real risk meet: helping leaders see the patterns pressure makes invisible so they can exercise judgment with greater clarity and move from performing authority to executing from it. The Las Vegas launch is part of a national rollout, with the association planning to extend the Coaching Partners program across its network of more than 130 chapters, pairing each city's members with coaches selected for that market.
The Coaching Partners program extends the association's broader mission of giving professional women greater transparency, resources and individual support as they advance. It complements initiatives including the association's Glass Ceiling Score project, employer rankings, compensation research and annual recognition programs by adding individualized access to rigorously vetted professional coaching.
